Ocean Breath- Collection of hope for preserving marine life
The Ocean Breath collection contains Natalie’s desire to save marine life. People swimming among the whales often appear in her collection. The collection contains different whales who are mostly endangered. However, plastic, which is one of the most deadly sources for marine life, is what each person in the photos is wearing. Natalie’s message was that people should be more aware of the danger that plastic brings to nature. Her strategy was to deliver awareness through beauty.
Water
Natalie Karpushenko had the power to inspire the public by her work related to water. Water, which can be considered as a common resource, contains great value that connects every living thing in the world. Every single huaman being is born from water, amniotic fluid, 75% of our body is filled with water, and nothing can survive without water. Also most importantly, water transfers from the sky to land, from the land to the oceans, and from the oceans to the skies once again. Water repeats this process of circulation to maintain every living lives. While explaining this message to us, Natalie throws a simple question to us.
What life should we live for water that exists for us?
“I may swim through the plastic in the ocean and wonder how it feels to be a fish with trash in its home”
